Things to do....
Fishing and Island Hopping
The Pearl Islands are famous for great fishing. Hire a local panga to take you out for a few hours. Some of the game fish here include bonita, dorado, Spanish Mackerel, sea bass, grouper, red and white snapper, etc. All of those can be caught right here off the islands.
Pangas can also take you to explore neighboring islands like Mogo Mogo where you can swim and snorkel.
We have the names and phone numbers of several good pangueros who can come pick you up right at the beach.
Sailing Club Panama
Santi Fuchs, Joel Gaona and Marta Plaza are natives of Catalonia, and run a sailing school there during the summer months. In the winter, from December through April, they come to the Pearl Islands and do the same thing here.
They teach basic sailing skills on small boats; they teach paddleboarding and wind-surfing, and they provide camping facilities on a beautiful beach near the village on Saboga.

See the Wreck of the Sub Marine Explorer
Hire a panga to take you to Isla San Telmo at low tide, where you can see the wreck of the world’s first commercial submarine.
Long thought to be the wreck of a WW2 Japanese submarine, it wasn’t until scientists examined it that they realized it was much older than that.
